Entertainment seating is one of the most critical elements for your media room. Finding the perfect style and configuration is just the beginning. Comfort is key and good quality construction is essential to long term comfort. Be sure that you get the Inside story.
The key to seating ergonomics is to have the right support in the right place. Watching a movie can take two hours or longer, so proper support is vital. A big, overstuffed chair may feel good initially, but offers no significant support. In an overstuffed chair the viewer will soon be squirming to find comfort. Well-placed support is a crucial, often overlooked component when it comes to seating. At Salamander, all of our entertainment seating is built with ergonomics in mind.
LUMBAR SUPPORT
The lower back is the most common area for back pain to develop. No surprise that lower back support is important to long sitting comfort.
HEAD & NECK SUPPORT
Head support is important in the reclined position. Without good head support, neck and eye strain soon develop.
LEG SUPPORT
Leg support is also important in making someone completely comfortable.
Salamander seating is ergonomically designed for comfort over long stretches of use. All of our signature seating designs provide strategic head, lumbar, leg and foot support— alleviating lower body and leg aches, neck strain and eye strain, in either upright or recline positions.
We believe that when it comes to customization—the more available choices, the better. Custom details such as fabric choices, stitching options, finishes and color will give you the desired look and feel you want, while expressing your own personal taste and style.
STYLE
Everyone's décor is unique. Seating must complement the existing home décor.
CONFIGURATION
Most people want to have a variety of choices so theater seating will be appropriate for their particular space and screen viewing circumstances.
CUSTOMER OWNED MATERIAL
Perhaps you have found that perfect fabric—the one that will accentuate other elements in your room.
FINISH OPTIONS
When it comes to being a part of the design process, it is all about having options—the more, the better. Selecting from a variety of options such as covers, stitching, choice of materials and even cup holders will help you to personalize your seating, while getting exactly what you want from the start.
PERFORMANCE OPTIONS
Fully immerse yourself in the home theatre experience with a variety of performance options including upgrades for motor control or built-in transducer sound.
ACCESSORIES
Complete the look and feel of your home theatre with accessories. Adding finishing touches such items as pillows, a personal tablet, matching end tables and matching ottomans, can easily help to pull a room together.
Salamander's highly customizable entertainment seating lets everyone define arrangements that work exactly for their situation. Accentuating key elements with custom details and accessories helps to achieve a personalized look, while setting the tone for the overall space.
Seating is furniture that gets the most use. Good quality construction that will last a long time is essential to consistent comfort. Motion seating requires especially strong construction to last.
FOAM CUSHIONING
High resiliency, virgin foam should be used for long lasting support. It is also desirable to use "green" foam as much as possible. Avoid cheap foams and blown-in foam cushions because they break down and settle prematurely.
LONG LIFE COVERINGS
To ensure a long life for theater seating, leather is the obvious choice because it lasts up to 5 times longer than fabric. Beware of low quality leather, vinyl matches and covers that are not family friendly and cannot be cleaned easily.
FRAME CONSTRUCTION
A strong frame and quality reclining mechanism is key to enduring utility and consistent comfort. Motion seating requires especially strong construction to last.
Salamander uses only the highest quality materials and construction techniques to provide a lifetime of enjoyment. We use real, premium-grade leather to ensure long-life coverings. Our multi-layer foam cushion construction provides the proper comfort and support. All of our strong frames are precision, computer-cut from hardwood plywood and assembled using mortise and tenon joints for extra strength.
